Permanent Hair Reduction
Many people suffer from hair growth where they don't want it. Unwanted hair on the face or torso can make a woman feel less feminine.
Treatments options in the past have been short term, painful or made you live with regrowth in order to be able to be treated. IPL (Intense Pulsed Light) is an effective method to remove unwanted hair growth. It will actually kill the ability of your treated hair follicles to grow. And you don't have to grow out your unwanted hair for weeks in order to get it done.
Both women and men can be treated successfully to remove excess unwanted hair from anywhere on the body (with the exception of the eyelids). Because of the size of the device used to deliver the light, larger areas can be treated in a session than can be done with other older methods. The treatment damages the hair shaft and the growth bulb of the hair, causing the shaft to fall out and the treated follicle to stop producing new hair.
Since all hairs grow in a three-part cycle, anagen (growth), catagen (regression) and telogen (resting) phases, multiple treatments are necessary, as hairs can only be treated in the growth phase. Every patch of hair to be treated will have different proportions of hair in each phase. Most hair that is in the growth phase, will cease growing after one treatment.
Before you have IPL hair removal, you should not wax or pluck the hair you want removed, although you can shave or depilate it. This means you do not have to suffer with "growing out" unwanted or embarrassing hair before treatment, unlike with some other treatments. Your problem and the solution are discreet.
As new hairs enter into the growth phase, some hair regrowth can occur after a treatment, but it is generally finer and paler than it was prior to treatment. Over the course of several treatments all the hair in the selected area will get treated while it is in the growth phase to give you true long lasting hair reduction.
